Mary McTigue started her professional career in Omaha where she co-starred with Pat Proft at Sweetness and Light satirical and improv theatre. Her first professional show was Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Miss America But Were Afraid to Ask. Since then, she’s appeared in over 75 Equity productions, mostly comedies. In fact, it was TV work that allowed her to go on the road and act in so many great live theatre productions. After receiving a TV commercial residual check, she frequently wrote from a regional theatre locale to New York agents and producers Thank you for your continued support of the arts. Favorite roles include M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias (and other Southern belles), Faye in Chapter II (and in 5 other Neil Simon plays), Frieda in Dangerous Corner (and other British snobs). She also appeared in numerous films and soaps including All My Children. After becoming a mom, she earned a masters degree in theatre and wrote a book on theatre that was published by Betterway Books. Most recently, Mary appeared in the world premiere of a drama titled And Other Fairy Tales at the Workshop Theatre in New York City.
